Customer: David’s Neighbour (discontinued project)
Hlutur is islandic for “thing” and was a content management system I programmed before I began using mainly Textpattern for my projects. Development of the application was active from 2002 to 2004. Hlutur’s former name was Gizmo.
Technologies used:
- PHP and MySQL (usage of AdoDB database abstraction layer, so basically all other available databases could have been used)
- Ad hoc templating engine written specific for the application
- several extended templates were delivered with the installation package
- easy extendable plugin system with simple hook (invocation points)
- modular and object oriented system of actions and sections for targeted and specific application uses
